One of the issues that is near and dear to my heart is how our kids are treated in Maine's school system. One of the problems they face is how to deal with the unruly student. Unfortunately, the schools have resorted to the use of physical restraints.
Some parents didn't like it though. So some new ruses were adopted.

Local school district officials here discussed the implications brought about by a new state law that restricts the use of physical restraint and seclusion of students and how the new rules affect employees — in particular school bus drivers.

And without fully understanding the new rules, they got paranoid...
Educators say a new mandate is making them overly cautious, and the instances of teachers being assaulted by students since the rule took effect have been in the "dozens."
